Smoking-A Silent Killer

We Should always endeavor to resist violence and extremism in all its forms. Our aim shoul be to uproot extremism through dialogue and discourse and restore peace and tolerance in our communities, societies particularly in our children. In order to help our society particularly our young generation to get rid of health hazard. We should  take up the task to address the smoking problems in our young generation particularly those who are in colleges and universities are facing.

Every one of us knows that smoking is extremely hazardous for health but people still addicted to smoking.  It is a known fact that smoking is one of the major causes of serious illness like lung diseases, heart problems and cancer besides other diseases. Consequently it is responsible for nearly 100,000 deaths each year in Pakistan alone. We do not realize that how dangerous it could be for those who do not smoke (second hand smoke).

We should dedicate to help smokers to quit smoking particularly our young generation as a part of our ongoing public awareness drive to quit smoking, we should wish to conduct an awareness program for Colleges / Universities students. The benefits of such lectures with illustrations help to understand gravity of risk involved in smoking which help them to understand.  Sooner they quit smoking is better for them as it wont take much time to quit if they follow the advice/ guidance of the medical expert.

We wish them best of luck and pray that God will also help and guide our young generation.
